Who We Are
A Home That Restores You Isn’t a Luxury. It’s a Foundation.
You spend every day pouring yourself into the needs of others. Your home should be the place that pours back into you.
Jungle Curator was built for the nurturers—the nurses, teachers, and carers who give enormously to the world. We don’t just sell plants; we learn your light, your schedule, and your energy to build a living sanctuary around the life you actually live.
Why Jungle Curator
Not a Nursery. Not a Listicle. Something Different.
Here’s what sets us apart from everything else you’ve tried — and why this time, it’ll actually stick.
Built for Caring Professionals — Not Everyone
We are the only plant service in Australia built specifically for people in the helping professions. We understand your schedule, your exhaustion, and why your home needs to work harder for you. This isn’t generic wellness content — it’s a service that knows who it’s for.
Personalised to Your Space, Your Life, Your Energy
Not a list. Not a quiz result. A real person who asks real questions — about your light conditions, your daily rhythms, and your energy on a hard week — and builds a plant plan around the life you’re actually living, not an ideal version of it.
Three Services That Work Together
The Sanctuary Session gives you the visual foundation. The Kokedama Workshop gives you a hands-on, grounding creative experience. The Herb Haven connects nature to your kitchen and daily nourishment. No competitor in Australia offers this. We’re a home wellbeing partner, not a one-off transaction.
Grounded in Evidence — Not Just Aesthetics
Biophilic design isn’t a trend. Research consistently shows that living greenery reduces cortisol, improves mood, and supports recovery from stress. We help you apply that science in your actual living room — practically, sustainably, and in a way that suits your real life.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Questions People Actually Ask
If your last three plants died and you’re not sure this will be any different — you’re in the right place. Here are honest answers.
What plants actually survive if I’m a busy, always-tired person?
There are genuinely excellent plants for low-light, low-maintenance, high-travel, and low-energy lifestyles — they just aren’t the ones nurseries tend to push at the front. The Sanctuary Session is specifically designed to identify which plants will work for your actual light conditions and schedule, not an ideal version of them. We’ve also created a free guide — “5 Plants That Actually Thrive If You’re Always Tired” — which is a good starting point.
Will I kill them? My last plant didn’t make it.
If your last plant died, that’s almost always a placement problem — wrong plant, wrong light, wrong spot — not a failing on your part. The whole point of The Sanctuary Session is that we figure out exactly which plants will succeed in your specific home, accounting for your light, your watering habits, and your energy. You’re not getting a list; you’re getting a plan. And you’ll have the knowledge to back it up, not just a pot and a prayer.
Can I book a Sanctuary Session online if I’m not in Brisbane?
Yes — The Sanctuary Session is available as a virtual consultation for clients anywhere in Australia. You’ll share photos of your space, fill in a short questionnaire about your light and lifestyle, and we’ll work through a room-by-room plan together via video call. The result is just as personalised as an in-home visit. Kokedama Workshops are also available online in live and self-paced formats.
Is this suitable for a small apartment or a rental?
Small spaces and rentals are our specialty. Many of our clients live in compact apartments with limited natural light, no outdoor area, and restrictions on what they can attach to walls. Every recommendation we make is rental-friendly by default — no nails, no permanent installations, and a focus on plants and arrangements that work within the constraints of a leased home. Your space doesn’t need to be Instagram-worthy. It just needs to be yours.
What is kokedama, and do I need any experience to do the workshop?
Kokedama is a Japanese technique where a plant is grown in a ball of soil and wrapped in moss — it’s beautiful, tactile, and deliberately slow to make. No experience is needed at all; the workshop is designed for beginners and is as much about the process (grounding, hands-on, meditative) as it is about the finished result. You’ll leave with a kokedama you made yourself and the knowledge to care for it. Workshops run online and in-person in Brisbane.
How much time will I need to maintain my plants after the session?
The Sanctuary Session plan is built around your actual available time. If you work long shifts, travel frequently, or are honest that you sometimes go a fortnight without thinking about plants — we factor that in. Most of our client plans are designed around plants that need care once per week or less. We’re not here to add to your mental load; we’re here to reduce it.
What does a free discovery call involve?
It’s a relaxed 20-minute conversation — no obligation, no sales pitch, no awkwardness. We’ll talk about your space, what you’re hoping to change, and which of our three services might be the best fit. You’ll come away with a clear sense of whether working with us is right for you. If it’s not a good fit, we’ll tell you honestly. We’d rather that than have you book something that isn’t right for your situation.
What If Walking Through Your Front Door Felt Like Exhaling?
You don’t need a new house or more energy. You need the right plants in the right spots, built around the life you’re actually living.
